Ben Hancock

Ben Hancock is The Diplomat’s Seoul correspondent. Born and raised in a Seattle suburb with a large Asian minority population, Hancock has studied Korean language, society and politics since 2002. He received a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and has traveled widely throughout the United States and East Asia. He also writes for The Christian Science Monitor and has contributed reporting for The Associated Press. He lives in Seoul.
